OS X Keyboard Shortcuts Redux
Since I lost my first list in the big db fiasco of ’05, here is a new list of OS X keyboard shortcuts. I will add more as I remember them.

Command-? -> Mac Help
Command-A -> Select All
Command-C -> Copy
Command-D -> Duplicates current item
Command-E -> Ejects selected volume, media, or server
Command-F -> Find
Command-H -> Hide current application
Command-I -> Opens Get Info dialog for selected item
Command-J -> Toggles View Options Open & Closed
Command-K -> Connect to server
Command-L -> Creates Alias for selected item
Command-M -> Minimize a Finder-folder to Dock
Command-Option-M -> Save as above but minimizes all open Finder-folders
Command-N -> Opens up new Finder window
Command-O -> Opens selected item
Command-Q -> Quits active application
Command-V -> Paste
Command-W -> Closes Finder-folder window
Command-Option-W ->Same as above but closes all Finder-folders
Command-X -> Cut
Command-Z -> Undo
Command-Del -> Moves selected item to Trash
Command-Shift-A -> Opens the applications folder
Command-Shift-N -> Creates a new folder in the selected workspace
Command-Shift-Del -> Empty Trash
Command-Tab -> Rotate through open applications and switch to highlighted app
Command-~ -> Same as above but only flips through open windows in the selected application

WordPress 2.0 Upgrade
So far, so good 
Nice admin interface. It is exactly like wordpress.com. Akismet and db-backup plugins are included. I haven’t tried adding back any other plugins yet, or even checked to see which ones are compatible. Upgrade was almost trouble free. I had to remove the call to bunny’s technorati tags plugin from my index file and then all was well. It is important to remember to deactivate all plugins before replacing the files.
There are more preconfigured user permission levels, included html editor that I am typing in right now (tiny-mce which has been converting this post into squeaky clean html so far – not that there is much to convert), more import options, online file editing for any files that are writable by the server, and several backup options for backing up core wp db tables (wp-content folder must be writable). Files can be backed up to a new folder on server (created automatically), to your computer, or emailed to a specified email address. The dashboard is slow to load, but that is nothing new and the navigation loads quickly so functionality of the admin section is not affected.
Posting options are collapsed by default which is nice but makes it harder to remember to set commonly used options like categories. I’m sure it is not that hard to adapt. Post preview now shows a preview of the post within the site template rather than just the post out of context. I like that.
Overall, this is another great improvement. Acutally, many great improvements. The only annoyance at the moment is that in this html editor, paragraphs get automatically indented by one space. Ok, I had to fix that. It was bugging me. The setting was in the wp-admin.css file as I expected, but the relavant css was not very well named or commented as far as making it easy to find. If anyone is curious, it is: #zeitgeist p.
