Windows Vista
Windows Vista (formerly Longhorn) is in beta. There is more info on wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_Vista. It will have a newly designed user interface, a new search feature which sounds much like apple’s spotlight, and a new shell, giving users new ways to organize files.

Installed Xandros on the laptop. Removed XP. It’s running pretty smoothly except for some trouble reading cd’s. Luckily, it will boot from a cd. I would like to install Fedora 2. I’m not sure if it’ll work with the amd processor, but I think it will. I also couldn’t get the internet connection to work. [...]
